TL DR Lag is handled poorly in Borderlands 2. Otherwise, the game is spamming reconnects every second which makes it seem like a very severe CPU/GPU bottleneck. But in BL2 you're affected by lag in a different way and what's even more confusing is that you're lagging everywhere BUT on the loading screens. In most (if not all) games when you have a lag spike you'll see other players stop or continue their actions (like everyone going straight forward in walls). With Borderlands 2 however, my framerate would drop and the game would freeze as if the connection was in sync mode where the game would "wait" while I'm connecting instead of letting me play and try to connect in the background (async). However, my framerate and mouse movement would stay the same as without lag. An example would be Tribes where lag would cause other players to stutter on my screen. the most overlooked factors when players are trying to fix Borderlands 2 Lag. So I removed the new services and the 2 new run entries and the intermittent polling stopped along with the game pauses.Ĭlick to expand.I was tethering (I suck at spelling that word) temporarily because I just moved so I didn't have a proper internet connection yet. After a new window opens, simply paste your free Steam key to add the game.
DirectX 12 is a set of components included in Windows 10 which allows.
HTC Sync software was bloatware added 3 new active services, 2 new entries to windows start up and was polling the system anytime a usb device was plugged in. Red Dead Redemption 2 PC gets a fix for stuttering - but it could come at a price. So then I investigated as to why what use to work smooth now ran rough. Most the time I would have the phone tethered and be alt tabbing from game to web browser reading tips or tricks for the game and then alt tabbing back to the game. Wasn't till later while playing games I noticed short pauses while playing in most single player games (no net needed). Not sure with other phones with tethering, but with my HTC Desire tethering only worked once I stuck HTC sync software on the PC (Sync Software comes bundled with the driver).īeing a bit impatient I blindly installed the sync software on the pc and connected the phone and it worked straight away as a tethered connection and surfing the net on my pc was fine.
